August. 21—Penguin, s.s., 442 tons, Cromarty, for Auckland. August 22—Taiaroa, s.s., 228 tons, Smith, for Dunedin. Lyttelton. Arrived—August 21: lonic, s.s., from the North. Sailed—August 21; Restless, for Sydney ; Grassmere, for Auckland; Manapouri, s.s., for the North; Mahinapua, s.s., for Wellington ; Rotorua, s.s., for the South. The s.s, Ringarooma was floated on Thursday and found watertight. It is thought that two months will elapse before she is fit to take up the running again. Port Chalmebs. Sailed—August 21 : Wanganui, s.s., for the West Coast; Rotoraahana, s.s., for Melbourne; via the Bluff. Auckland. Arrived August 21; Aurora, from Raratonga. She reports that the schooner Julia Pryce had gone ashore there, but got off *ith very little damage. _
