COURSING.
The South Canterbury Coursing Club commenced their second meet this season on Tuesday end concluded on Wednesday at the Levels. The day was fins and the attendance large. Some very good courses were run. The following are the results Puppy Stakes. —First dog, £lO 10s; second, £7 7a ; third, £3 3s. FIRST COURSE.

Mr James King’s b w b Heather Bell beat Mr Blennerhasset’s (ns) bdl and w d Dexter. SECOND COURSE, Old Monkland beat Seven Bells. Julia beat Young Flaneur. Heather Bell ran a bye. FINAL COURSE. Mr J.
