RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT, TEMUKA.

Monday, July 4, 1881. (Before J. N, Wood, Esq., R.M.) ASSAULTS. John Briscoll was charged by J. with having assaulted him on the Thursday last. After hearing the evidence his Worship fined the accused £1 aud costs. The same party was charged with having assaulted one Taylor on Thursday night last. The accused was fined 10s and costs. James McCarthy was charged by Taylor with a similar offence on the same night. Defendant was fined 10s and costs. CIVIL CASES. His Worship, in the ease MiasHolloway v. Murray (trustee in her father’s estate), heard during last Court day, nonsuited the plaintiff without costs.
