Bacon And Ham Quotas Increased

Wellington, Oct. 27.

Cabinet's approval of an increase In the present bacon and ham quotas of all retail shops from November 1 was announced to-day by the Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan. "Although extras are approved for the summer months until February only, it is hoped it may be possible to make a permanent Increase in the quotas after next February," said the Minister. "It has been necessary, however, to extend the prohibition of the sale of pork on the civilian market till December 15. A further statement on this matter will he made at an early date."
