Nine Offices Succeed In Gaining Savings Quotas
Nine offices in the New Plymoutk postal district gained national saving* quotas last week. They were New Ply mouth, Awakino-Mokau, Eltham, Hawera, Inglewood, Kaponga, Okaiawa Stratford and Urenui. Eltham also ob tained its quota for the previous week At New Plymouth the quota was ob tained by Wednesday of last week, and the total received, including a carry-ove* of £558 fror.i the previous week, wa* £2387. The New Plymouth Savings Bank ro ports that up to the week ending Friday there were 1384 accounts opened. Thr amount deposited for the week was £923 0s 6d, making a total of £119,838 12s 7d on deposit. There are 150 groups operating, and the amount deposited in the 2308 accounts was £299 19s 9d for the week. The total amount on deposit is £22,085 8s 4d.
