Wanganui, March 20.

Wanganui and Taranaki servicemen make continued complaints concerning travel facilities for week-end leave from Marton homeward on Friday nights. The men have to travel by slow and uncomfortable goods trains, often running well behind schedule, involvlng for Taranaki men a change of trains at Aramoho and arrival at home well Into Saturday. Wanganui men returning on Sunday nights leave at mtdrJght and then have to wait two to three hours at Marton for a through south train. Taranaki men are unable to return till Monday. It is suggested that a through train of four or five carrlages should fun from Marton to New Plymouth on Friday night, and from New Plymouth to Marton on Sunday nights. They say that anything from 80 to 150 men are involved weekly, both Army and Air Force and including Americans.
