NELSON'S FAMOUS SHIP l London. Aug. 15. The Berlin radio alleged that "Bombers yesterday hit Nelson's flagship Victory, whose flag standard was throwr* into the sea." It adds: "British sailors regard this as a bad omen." On Inquiry at the British Admiralty it was learned that, coritrary to the claim contained in the German communique that during yetserday's attacks on Portsmouth H.M.S. Victory was hit and her flag standard blown into the sea, no damage whatever had been suffered by the Victory. She was jiist as she was before the German claim was made.
