CAMP CANCELLED
GUIDE CENTENARY PLANS HAWERA BODY ADVISED Information received at the monthly meeting of the Hawera Qirl Guides' Association on Tuesday stated that the girl guides' centenary camp had been cancelled, Instead, it is hoped that a scheme will be brought forward to assist Polish g;rl Guides. Mrs. H. T. Lovell presided. The report of the captain, 'Miss Lennon, stated that the Cuides had now transferred to the > oresters' hall for their vieekly meetings. This arrangement was proving both convenient and satisfactory in every way. The Erown Owl, Miss Wyatt, in reporting on the Brownies stated that excellent assistance was being given by Miss Norah Burney as pack leader. It was decided that the secretary sl ould forward lettcrs of appreciation to both offlcers for their excellent work during the year and also to congratulate guiders on having obtained their St. John Ambulance certificates. Visiting committees to both Guides and Brownies vere appointed for the month.
