FIGHTING IN CORRIDOR SUCCESSES ACHIEVED

London, Sept. 13. pOLISH sources assert that the Polish Poznania army has broken the German ring and is now menacing the German centre army besieging Warsaw from the south-west. Aecording to a Moscow message the wireless announced that the Poles have converted the defensive to an offensive in the north. The Yilna correspondent of the British United Press says the radio states that despite the German claim to the occupaney of the entire Corridor, Polish troops are still fighting there and are achieving local successes. A German mechanised unit reached within 18 miles ot Lwow, but was forced back by the Poles, who are rushing up reinforcements. Nazi planes started many fires with incendiary bombings of Lwow. . The Germans are continuing the bombing of civilians at Lwow. Yesterday it was raided 12 times. The alarms were sounded uninterruptedly for eight hours. Luck and Lublin were also raided. Lublin was greatly damaged. An evacuation train going to Lwow from Warsaw stopped 72 times to permit passengers to disembark to avoid bombing.
