WIN FOR MISS FRASER The Luxton trophy at Te Ngutu was won by Miss J. Fraser. In the play-off she beat Mrs. W. Brown 6 and 5. The best scores in the L.G.U. medal round on Wednesday were: Mrs. G. Cottrell 95—14—81, Miss J. Joyce 99—18 —81. Mrs. N. G. Luxton 101—17—84. Scores in the mixed foursomes were: Newman and Mrs. Newman beat Corbett and Miss Barclay 4 and 3, G. Cottrell and Mrs. Cottrell beat R. Treweek and Mrs. Treweek 4 and 3, Brown and Mrs. Brown beat Penny and Mrs. Penny 1 up, Luxton and Mrs. Luxton beat Evetts and Miss Joyce 1 up, Graydon and Mrs. Evetts beat Fraser and Mrs. Fraser, J. Linn and Mrs. Linn beat Good and Mrs. Good 2 up, C. Treweek and Miss J. Fraser beat Todd and Mrs. Todd 4 and 3, Warnock and Mrs. Warnock beat Graydon and Mrs. Evetts. Senior championship first round results were: P. Grace beat L. N. Newman 5 and 4, H. Evetts beat H. R. Penny 3 and 1, G. S. Graydon beat M. G. Good 2 up, E. J. Linn beat T. J. Betts ]. up.
