Rec. 11.10 p.m. Washington. Dec. 1. The Agricultural Department announced to-day that arrangements had been made for the sale of 20,000,000 bushels of wheat to flourmills in Great Britain from the Federal Surplus Commodities Corporation, which will subsidise the transaction through the American Exporters' Corporation; The former will nurohase the wheat at ruling domestic prices for resale to exporters at a price enabling them to meet world competition in Great Britain. The wheat will be delivered over a period of several months. This sale brings to 68,400,000 bushels the amount of wheat arranged for export out of the 100,000,000 bushels planned for disposal from the surplus.
