SWIMMING AT WAVERLEY
CLUB - NIGHT RESULTS / , Keen racing was witnessed by a large number of spectators at the Waverley baths on Thursday evening, when the Waverley Swimming Club held a club night. Among the attractions was an excellent exhibition of backstroke given by Miss P. Watts, of the Central club, Wanganui. Many visitors were present from the Wanganui and Patea clubs, Wanganui winning the inter-club relay. Following are the results:— 15 yards girls: Merle Heginbotham 1, Betty Bilton 2, Barbara Bilton 3. Girls' 25 yards: Grace Hurley 1, Betty Bilton 2, Doris Johnstone 3. Boys' 25 yards: K. Lupton 1, F. Watty 2, M. McGorrey 3.
