The laying of the foundation stone of the Voortrekker eentenary memorial on Dmgaan's Day, December 16. will be responsible for a month's political truce in Seuth Africa, beginnirig at midnight. The proposal was made by Mr. J. B. M. Hertzcg, Prime Minister. Mr. Malan, leader of the Nationalist Republicans, andi Colonel Stallard, leader of the extreme English Speakers, have accepted the olive branch.
