uruti district judging The Uruti district was visited by Mr. Elliott on Wednesday, when he was accompanied throughout the day by Mr. A. R. Alpe, president of the Uruti branch of the Farmers' Union, and Mr. P. C. McGregor, secretary. All competitors were met on the pastures. .. The river flat lands generally showed the result of the severe poaching during the wet weather, impressing the importance of weed growth control. A number of interesting entries included pastures 40 years old, many of which showed more dense and vigorous sward than other pastures recently established. Details are: —
