south taranaki: team
Following a trial cricket match at Eltham yesterday between Hawera district and Stratford-Eltbam district primary schools the following team was selected to represent South Taranaki in a match against North Taranaki at Hawera on Friday, December 9: J. Tito (Opunake), V. Villiers and R. Shepherd (Stratford), C. Cave ahd C. Bootten (Rawhitiroa), J. Everitt and R. Webby (Auroa), C. Moeahu (Okaiawa), N. Dymond (Hawera Main), N. Richards (Turuturu), W. Daymond (Manaia), P. V. Muir (Tawhiti) 12th man. The selectors were Messrs. L. J. Furrie and H. Donnelly (Opunake) and G. H. Percy (Hawera).
