DISTRICT EVENT SUCCESS OP GATHERING COMPETITION RESULTS The Urenui district primary school sports were held on the Urenui doxnain on Thursday, when there was a large attendance of parents and friends. The nominations numbered 368, and the committee completed the progranune in splendid time. Members of all the school committees assisted the teachers and the officials, and the sports were in every way most successful. The conunittee oomprised: Mrs. R. Fitzgerald (president), Mr. C. Drader (secretary), Messrs. G. N. Fuller and E. S. Elliot (srtarters), Messrs. Kemp, Herbert, Blennerhasset and Mrs. Fitzgerald (heat stewards), Messrs. C. Henwood and A. C. Smith (call stewards), Messrs. R. Smith and Patience and Miss Gernhoefer (result stewards), Messrs. G. Baker, N. Jones, W. Jonas, W. Sutton, D. Kea and A. Whitehead (judges, running), Messrs. H. Grylls, E. K. Blundell (judges, jumps), Misses M. Jones and Evans (judges, basketball), Messrs. H. and C. William (gatekaepers). In the absence of the patron, Mr. Griffin, Mr. C. Henwood, chairman of the Urenui school committee, congratulated the committee on the way it had conducted the sports and presented to the Urenui school pupils the championship cup and to the Okoke pupils the handicap cup.
