AUSTRALIA'S NEW COINAGE.

A leaping kangaroo, a merino ram's head, and three ears of wheat are among the new designs for Australian coinage to be issued shortly, says the Children's Newspaper. The kangaroo's tail, which now droops over the motto on the florin, is going to be straightened to its natural position, as also is the emu's leg on that coin. It seems a pity that little Koala bear is not included, but perhaps it will be brought in later.
