JOLL COMPANY WINS MACEWAN CUP PLAY The first mgjch for, the perpetual challenge cup for golf competition between South Taranaki dairy company staffs and suppliers presented by J. B. MacEwan and Company was won by the Joll factory team, which defeated a team from the Kaupokonui f actory by three games to one. The cup was presented to Mr. G. H. Meuli, chairman of the Joll company, by Mr. E. T. Burke, chairman of the Kaupokonui company, at the conclusion of the match, which was held at the Manaia links. Results are: G. H. Meuli >and A. G. Fraser beat E. T. Burke and W.' J. McDonald 1 up, G. Cotterill and T. Betts beat L. Young and M. K. Macleod 3 and 2, C. Treeweek and L. ,Newman lost to F. Walker and C. Whailen 2 and 1, J. Warnock and W. Brown beat H. Dalton and L. Hughes 4 and 2.
