MILK TEST TOO LOW
CHARGE AQAINST FARMER INGLEWOOD CON VICTION Charged with selling milk that did not contain the required percentage of fat at Inglewood, John Wisnewski, farmer and millcman, was convicted and ordered to pay £1 Os 9d costs in the Inglewood Court" yesfcerday. Wisnewski pleaded not guilty. Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., presided. Alexander Milne, inspector, said that on October 19 he tested Wisnewslri's milk, which was exceptionally low in fat percentage. He took routine samples of milk in the town pertodically. Cpnstable F. Longbottom also gave evidence. He had not changed in his method of preparing the milk during the past 15 years and had previously received no complaints aboUt his test being low, said Wisnewski. Mr. Woodward: "You eannot put cream into skim milk by stirring the milk. You will have to alter your method so that customers will have full cream milk. Inspector Milne will test your milk again shortly. As you are a foreigner perhaps you did not understand, but if this occurs again a considerably heavier penalty will be inflicted."
