RESUMPTION OF RAIDS

ACTIVITY IN SOUTH CHINA OCCUPATION OF ISLANDS Rec. 7 p.m. London, Nov. 19. Japanese planes have resumed their bombing of the Southern Railway, though no serious damage has been done, says the correspondent of the Times at Hong Kong. Their activities are believed to be due to reports that large shipments of trucks and fighting planes have arrived. There are frequent reports of the Japanese Navy landing additional supplies on the islands off Canton and Amoy preparatory to further occupations. Junk-owners complain that the Japanese rob them of their fish and money, chop down the masts and set them adrift. The training of Chinese conscripts, the sale of war bonds, collections and the purchasing of aeroplanes and munitions are intensified. Indications are that it is the intention of the Chinese to continue fighting whatever Nanking's fate is.
