DOUBLE PROGRAMME AT GRAND.

TWO PICTURES OPEN TO-DAY. An entertaining photoplay, Columbia's "Woman in Distress," will open to-day at the Hawera Grand Theatre. In the title role is May Robson, venerable star of "Lady for a Day," who shires top honours with Irene Hervey and Dean Jagger. The story concerns two rival newspaper reporters who are involved in the robbery of an original Rembrandt painting from the home of Miss Robson. The newshawks, portrayed by Jagger and Miss Hervey, help Miss Robson recover the priceless canvas, but only after experiencing a series of hair-raising escapades. "I Cover the War," a saga of the work of newsreel cameramen, also will be shown.
