EXERCISE TO MAKE YOU SUPPLE.

Here is an exercise that will help you lo become good at athletics. It stretches the xnuscles at the backs of the legs and is especially good for those who want to do well at high jumping. • i Start in the crouch: position, with knees bent and hands flat on the floor, as shown in the illustration. Then, without moving the hands, straighten the knees to the position shown in the second figure.

It oi very difficult to keep tlie hands fiat all the time, and you're quite good if you can keep the fingers on the floor at first. Keep practising .and you'll soori improve, so that later you can do it quite easily. Never mind . if it hurts a little at the backs of the legs. The discomfort will soon disappear as the muscles are stretched and you become lo'ose and supple.
