DISQUALIFICATION OF BLOMFIELD.
COX STRUCK FROM OUTSIDE RING.v Auckland, Last Night. Disqualification of "Lofty" Blomfield, Auckland, for striking his opponent "King Kong" Cox, America, in the seventh round brought a sudden termination to a wrestling contest on Saturday night. Blomfield had been twice thrown through the , ropes, and on the second occasion, while he was standing on the staging outside the ring, he hit Cox with his closed fist. Before this incident each man had obtained a fall. The first was won by -Cox in the fourth round. He jolted the Aucklander several times before lifting him for a slam and a body press. Blomfield drew level in tlxe sixth round. A series of forearm jolts was followed by three flying tackles, each of which sent Cox sprawling, and Blomfield then finished with a body press.
