CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND PLAYED. The first round of the Tarurutangi club championships was played during the week-end and resulted as follows:-^ Senior: Ray Street beat Bert Street 2 and 1; L. Harris won by default from D. Maguire; Sp. Giddy beat S. I. Sadler 6 and 5; Dick Street. b*!at J. Wall ,5 and 4. Junior: Bob Street won by default from J. Christie; J. Sleeman beat E. Smith 3 and 1; B. Linn beat H. Lee 1 up at the 19th; C. Horsup beat C. Shaw 3 and 2. Limit: C. Wylds beat A. Patterson 5 and 4; A. Smith beat S. Sutton 1 up. A stableford bogey match played in conjunction with the championships resulted in a win in the senior event for
to Sp. Giddy. with a card of 28—10—38. In the junior event W. -Dey won with a fine score of 23 — 18 — 41. r
