I RAIN IN MOST DISTRICTS
; Wellington, Last Night. \ The weather will be .unsettled and : squally, with rain in most districts, says j the 3 p.m. forecast. Conditions are be- \ coming very cold, with snow on the high [ levels and snow or hail probable on some 1 low country. I Winds will be moderate to strong : northerly to westerly, with some force at : places, particularly in central districts j and in the far south, backing soon to I southerly in the latter area. Strong j southerlies will become general to-mor-j row. Seas w/11 be rough about Cook j and Foveaux Straits and elsewhere slight | to moderate but rising, except north of : East Cape. / I A rather intense depression is cross- ! ing the Dominion, the lowest pressures at | present being west of the- Cook Strait ; area Emd to the south. A very ihtense | anti-cyclone still covers Australia and is | extending slowly over the Tasman Sea.
