TENNIS AT STRATHMORE

CLUB HOLDS ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Strathmore Tennis C'lub was heid at Huiakama on Monday night. Mr. C. Meek presided over a fair attendance. The chairman in movin^ the adoption oi the report and balance -sheet congratulated the club on having won the Bredow Shield. The balance-sheet disclosed a credit of £10 11s 2d. The secretary, Mrs. W. Elder, was accorded a vote of appreciation. It was decided to place before the incoming committee the advisability of affiliating with the Taranaki association. The question of holding the usual annual dance was held over until mext committee meeting. Officers elected were: Patron, Mr. A. Meredith snr.; president, Mr. C. R. McKinstry; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. W. Elder; club captain, Mr. W. Elder; vice-captain, Mr. A. McCracken; auditor, Mrs. A. A. T. Wills; delegates, Messrs. W. Elder and A. H. Frank; committee, Messrs. A. H. Frank, D; Mayo, A. McCracken, D. Simmoris -and C. Meek and Misses M. Savage, A. Meek, I. Frank and J. Meredith.
