ANOTHER PROTEST

TOWN HALL AT STRATFORD. DRAWBACKS FOR FLOWER SHOWS. / The Stratford town hall was blamed at the annual meeting of the Stratford Horticultural Society last night for the gradual decline in public attendance at the society's shows and the meeting added its protest to recent criticism of the hall. The president, Dr. Doris Gordon, had expressed appreciation of the wonderful support accorded the society by those directly interested in it but said the attendance of the public was not all that could be wished for. She attributed this to the situation ,of the town hall in a back street, the indifferent lighting and the nature of the hall.. She thought the section on the south-eastern corner of the intersection of Regan and Miranda Street would make an ideal site for a I hall. | "If a hall were there, well lighted and v/ith an attractive frontage just off the main street I think our shows would draw much bigger attendances," Dr. Gordon stated.
