■ \ e ELTHAM SCHOOL AFFAIRS. COMMITTEE MEMBER RESIGNS. The resignation of Mr. F. Muggeridge as a member of the Eltham school committee vwas received on Tuesday night. Appreciation of his services was expressed by the chairman, Dr. D. H. Saunders, and it was decided to send him a letter of thanks and coneratulations on his promotion. It was decided after a discussion to withdraw from the South Taranaki School Committees' Association. Arrangements were made for the conveyance of 12 of the younger children from the Salvation Army Home by the Rotokare-Mata schoOl bus. / The headmaster, Mr. H. Vause, reported that the roll was 400, comprising 234 boys end 166 girls and the average attendance. was 350.3. \ . , Th'e financial statement showed a credit of £25 after the .payment of accoiuits. The inspector's report'was received and it was decided to record appreciation of the work of the headmaster and staff. Mrs. Carnpbeli and Mr. Glass were appcinted as a visiting committee. The social committee was empowered to complete arrangements for the children's breaking-up party.
