valpeen; manawatu Valpeen was amiss after the Homeby Steeplechase on' Saturday and is being ynt back to Auckland almost immediately. Apart from his second in. the Great Northem his form this season has been a long way below his best. Red SunjwaS gore last week and for this reason he was withdrawn from the Longbeach Hurdles on Saturday. Tudor is another whose prospfects look doubtful* Manawatu also developed leg trouble and has ■been sent home to Awapuni. '
