FILM FROM OPERA HOUSE.
CHARLES BOYER; JEAN ARTHUR Charles Boyer and Jean Arthur, the screen's newest team of film romancers, will come to the Hawera Opera House to-night in Walter Wanger's "History is Made at Night." This smart, fast-paced romance casts Boyer in a totally new type of role as Paul Rumond, dashing man-about-town and the most popular head waiter on the Continent, while Jean Arthur is seen as a lovely New York mannequin. They meet at Paris under thrilling circumstances and the pair become involved in a gay, ultra-modern romance that carries them fi'om France to America against a series of ultra-mod-ern settings, including a luxury liner and the smartest restaxirants of New York and Paris. Leo Carrillo and Colin Clive are featured in the supporting east, which also includes Ivan Lebedeff, George Meeker, Lucian Prival, Georges Renavent and others. Also showing is a film of the Springboks- Auckland match.
