Rec. 12^30 a.m.. Londqn, Aug. 4. The New Zealand cricketers began a match against Warwickshire at Birmingham to-day. Warwickshire won the toss and -batted. The teams are:— New Zealand r Page, Moloney, Vivian, Wallace, Donnelly, Weir, Had'lee, Carson, Lamason, Gallichan, Tindill. , Warwickshire: Wyatt, P. Cranmer, Kilner, Croom,. Dollery, Ord, Buckingham, Paine, Mayer, Hollie, Santall. The weather is fine and the wicket is in good order. Details are:— WARWICKSHIRE. First Innings. Kilner, run out ^ Croom, not out •••••• ® Santall, not out 1 & Total (for one wicket) • • 24 Lord Tennyson in a newspaper article says the bewildering variations of the New Zealanders' form defy explanation. The players evidently have talent but una'ble consistently to reveal their ability.
