BENEDICTS' CLUB DANCE
GOOD ATTENDANCE AT HAWERA. The second of the winter seriea of dances arranged hy the Hawera Benedicts' Club was held in the Rewa lounge on Wednesday, a feature being the number of new members who made their first appearance. Mr.'P. O. Veale, chairman and secretary, extended a welcome. A "punctuality" number contest was won by Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Sharpe. Mrs. Attrill's orchestra proyided dance music, Mrs. A. J. Corrigan playing an extra after supper. Supper was served by Mesdames Hoddle and Morton. _ ' Those present included Mesdames P. - O. Douglas (black silk velvet with touches of diamante and ermine trimmed coatee), R. S. Allwright (Windsor blue silk velvet and silver lame-satin trunic frock), L. H. Giblin (black phantom crepe, witii Quaker collar of stitched silver lame), W. A. Sharp (deep iris bmwn toned georgette skitt and silver lame jerkin), W. M. Egglestone CCoronation purple mariette, with silver lame rayed decolletage), H. W. Jones (daffodil yellow matalasse, with gold belt and pleated corsage), R. B.
