BENEDICTS' CLUB DANCE

GOOD ATTENDANCE AT HAWERA. The second of the winter seriea of dances arranged hy the Hawera Benedicts' Club was held in the Rewa lounge on Wednesday, a feature being the number of new members who made their first appearance. Mr.'P. O. Veale, chairman and secretary, extended a welcome. A "punctuality" number contest was won by Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Sharpe. Mrs. Attrill's orchestra proyided dance music, Mrs. A. J. Corrigan playing an extra after supper. Supper was served by Mesdames Hoddle and Morton. _ ' Those present included Mesdames P. - O.
