WAR FOR SOUTH AMERICA

By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.

PREDICTION OF ECONOMIST.

Rec. 11.10 p.m. New York, April 29. Sir GeorSe Paish, British economist, in the course of an address to-day said Britain and the United States were holding three-quarters of the world's gold and were forcing the rest of the world to do without it. If they continued, he said, other nations would learn to get along without it and thus render gold worthless. He predicted war for the possession of South America unless capital and credit market were reopened.
