OKOKE DOG TRIAL MEETING.
' ANOTHER FINE PROGRAMME. The Okoke Sheep Dog Trial Club's sixth annual trials, which will cornmence on Wednesday nejct on the praperty of Mr. G. Rogers, Okoke Road, are the next to attract dog trial men. One of the youngest clubs in Taranaki, Okoke has perhaps made the greatest progress. Its course is recognised . as up to championship standard, its arrangements are always up to the moment, and the catering in the hands of the women of the district has set a standard. The programme for the meeting is similar to last year's, comprising the three standard events and an open maiden head, pull and drive event, but the priz6 money has been increased in each class and has been allocated to provide more minqr prizes. Mr. H. Lambert, Tarata, will be the judge. With an early start each day the programme should be completed within three days, though large nominations are expected because Okoke is centrally situated. The social sije will be catered for by a dance in the Okoke hall on Wednesday night.
