PROSECUTIONS AT TAUMARUNUI.
Taumarunui, April 29. At the Magistrate's Court to-day before Mr. R. M. Watson, S.M, the new traffic inspector, Mr. J. M. Ford, proseciited a ntimber of residents of Central King Country for breaches of motor regulations and in each case fines were imposed. On a charge of having no heavy traffic license, Eric T. Hutton was fined £6. He was fined £3 for carrying on a goods service otherwise- than in conformity with authority. For carrying on a goods service without a permit H. Poole was ordered to pay £1 and 10s costs. Jutland Motors were fined £3, 10s costs, with using a motor-vehicle without having number plate aifixed to the rear. On a charge of having no heavy traffic license when using a motor lorry at Te Koura on April 3, Ray Winger Timber Company was fined .£6. For carrying on a goods service otherwise than pursuant to authority F. T. Seymour and B. Managh were fined £1 and £3 respectively, and on a charge of drivirig a motor lorry in a dangerous manner, near the hospital on April 14, B. Managh was fined £2, costs 10/-.
