DISTRICT PERSONAL ITEMS. POPULARITY OF BADMINTON. Miss A. Maddock spent last week-end with relatives at Feilding. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Putt have returned from Matamata. Mr. A. Ross is spending a few days at Palmerston North. Mrs. T. Bashford, New Plymouth, has been visiting Mrs. Bashford, Rama Road. • Miss Mary Kavanagh, Hastings, - has arrived to spend a holiday with her grandmother, Mrs. M. Landers. Mrs. F. le Fleming, who was a patient in the Hawera hospital, has returned to her home. Mr. B. Amos, Hamilton, is holidaymaking with his aunt, Mrs. J. Parker. Mrs. F. Sole, Puniho, was the guest of Mrs. W. Julian during the week. Mr. J. D. On ' Wednesday a ladder was drawn up ahd much keeness was shown amorig the players in playing for their positions. The club has been fortunate in having the services of Mr. J. Austin, Kaimiro, a more experienced player, who has helped coacli the members for the part two club nights.
