GROUNDS IMPROVED
SCHEME AT HUINGA SCHOOL. CO-OPERATION OF SETTLERS. A comprehensive scheme of improvements to the Huinga school grounds is being carried out as a result of approval of the project by a large meeting of householders. With the co-operation of householders and the school committee four working bees have already been held and good progress is being made. The Taranaki Education Board has grantecl the school two tons of cement and arrangements have been completed for the purchase of shingle. It has been decided to concrete the back square and paths, to lay down lawns and provide a new playing area. In addition the planting of trees is being considered by the committee. By having voluntary labour there will be a saving of no less than. £50 on the scheme.
