SHIPPING COMPANY'S LOSS. j ' ESTIMATED DAMAGE OF £3000.

Auckland, Last Night. The Roose Shipping Company's timber mill at Mercer was burned down at 10 o'clock to-night. The flames spread with great rapidity and plant in the demolished building was badly damaged. A rough estimate of the total loss is £3000. Insurances in the South British were for £850. The mill, which employed 20 men, had -large orders on hand.
