PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. The Meremere Anzac service was held in -the Sunday school hall. There was a good attendance. The Rev. Basil Metson gave an address on the meaning and lessons of Anzac. At the close of the service all gathered at the school memorial where the Minister pronounced a prayer. Mrs. G. W. Williams has retunied after a visit to Wellington. Mrs. G. Douglas, Cambridge, who was staying with her daughter, Mrs. John Frahm, has left on a visit to the South Island. Mr. L. Kitney has returned after spending a fortnight's lioliday in the Waikato. Mr. and Mrs. Mummery, Hastings, are visit ing their daughter, Mrs. G. Wallace. Mr. and Mrs. E. Rrown, Wanganui, are tlie guests of Mrs. E. Murphy. Mrs. R. Hamilton is in the Hawera hospital. Mrs. Guilford is still in the Hawera hospital, where her condition is reported to be serious. ' Mrs. Fox, Wanganui, is visiting her father, Mr. Guilfprd.
