MEETING AT RIVERLEA

SCHOOL AFFAIRS DISCUSSED. At the annual meeting of householders only members of the school committee and the head -teacher, Miss Chapman, were present. Mr. E. Chapman presided. The year's report showed that the committee had improved the grounds and kept them in good order. It was resolved to put a concrete edging around the lawns. Reference was made to the loss to the committee in the death of Mr. D. Gibson. His place had been filled by Mr. J. Gibson. During the year Miss Brown resigned from the school staff, her place being filled by Miss Blennerhassett. The bal-ance-sheet showed a credit of £22. . It was resolved to spent £10 on the purchase of books for the school library.
