General Franco has decreed that all foreign currency, bulllon and securities owned by Spaniards in Spanish banks must be ceded to the Nationalist Government in exchange for pesetas. Evaders are lilable to loss of nationality, imprisonment and fines. While Seville is obscrving the Holy Week with processions of barefoot penitents and reverent religious services, warfare is continuing bitterly on the Madrid front. The clear spring weather brought out the war planes. Thirty-five to 40 insurgent planes, taking advantage of the absence of 70 Government planes which were raiding the front lines, bombed Guadalajara. Many civilians sheltering in cellars were wounded or crushed by falling mosanry. It is estimated that over 100 persons are dead. Valencia was also raided before anti-aircraft guns drove off the raiders.
