In order to augment the general funds it was decided to begin a series of euchre tournaments in the near future. It was resolved to purchase tiles for drainage of " the new lawn area. Several reference books for the school library will also be bought. Mr. Warren, school inspector, who visited the school last Friday. took with. him a quantity of flowers from the school plots as a gift from the Uruti children to the children of the New Plymouth Hospital. Mr. McKay, senior agricultural inspector, visited the school last Friday. Personal. While driving a mob of wild bush cattle from his Moki property to the Uruti saleyards Mr. . McEldowney was charged by a steer, a hom , being driven through his leg. " Mr. N. Knofflock spent the week-end at' Kew Plymouth. Mr. J. Prowse, who has been an inmate of the New Plymouth hospital, has returned home. Miss Joan Oxenham has been spending a few days at New Plymouth. Mr. P. Dickey. who has been seriously ill at the New Plymouth Hospital, is now recovering. Mrs. J. Haylock, who has been spending a few days with her sister at New Plymouth, has returned home. Miss I. Sarten, who has been the guest of Mrs. G. K. Oxenham, has returned home.
