ACTRESSES AND TYPISTS
INCLUSION IN LATEST PICTURE. "Movie actresses wanted. Only experienced typists need apply." That wanted advertisement did not appear in any Hollywood newspaper, but it would have been appropriate recently, for in selecting playgrs for classroom scenes in Columbia's "More than a Secretary," with Jean Arthur and George Brent heading the cast, only those screen players with such talent were considered. Jean Arthur 's role is that of an instructor in a girl's secretarial- school, and the director, Alfred E. Green, was determined that only real . typists, or student • typists, would be used in order to lend authenticity to the scene. "I've heard offlce workers in theatre audience make loud criticism of screen typists," said. Green, "and I'm taking precautions against that accusation about this picture." , . Lionel Stander, Dorotliea Kent, . Reginald Kenny arid Ruth Dorinolly are members of the supporting cast of the film.
