Disappointment awaited many people who crowded the Magistrate’s Court this morning hoping to hear the “Woolworths baby” case. A further remand until January 14 was granted. Delia Rabbitt, of Centre Bush, Invercargill, a single woman aged 26 years, described as a domestic, appeared on remand from Invercargill on a charge of abandoning Gordon Nathaniel Brown, a child under the age of two years, on December 20. In remanding her till January 14 Mr. H. A. Young, S.M., complied with her request that she should be’ allowed to stay in the Mount Magdala Home until the case proceeded. She was allowed £5O bail in her own recognisance.
