TUHUA SCHOOL YEAR

BREAKING-UP CEREMONY. Pupils of the Tuhua school, parents and friends gathered at the school on Thursday for the breaking-up ceremony. The day was spent with races, games and competitions. Lunch and afternoon tea were provided for all and every child was presented with a book. Sweets, fruit and other presents were distributed. Mr. C. Crossman, the teacher, welcomed the parents and visitors and gave an outline of the year’s work. The chairman of the school committee, Mr. O’Donell, congratulated Mr. Crossman and the children on the fine work done at the school during the year, and the very successful sports gathering organised.
