ANTARCTIC RELIEF AEROPLANE. DISCOVERY PREPARED TO SAIL. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7.30 p.m. Washington, Dec. 21. The State Department to-day announced the receipt of cabled information from London that Discovery II is prepared to sail to-day to search for Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth and his companion. It also received word from Magallanes that the relief aeroplane from the United States had arrived and had been stowed aboard the Wyatt Earp, which sailed to follow the rescue instructions left by Mr. Ellsworth.

Produced by a group of standard 6 girls, The Annual Cheerio, the magazine of the West End school, New Plymouth, is a publication of unusual merit for a primary school. In addition to a record of the activities of present and past pupils, there are verses, stories, articles and drawings by the children.
