IN THE STRATHAIRD

RELATIVES OF VON TEMP SKY. VISIT TO SOUTH TARANAKI. Of special interest in the visit of the tourist liner Strathaird to New Zealand is the fact that a daughter-in-law of the famous Major von Tempsky, one of the heroes of the Maori War in Taranaki, was an arrival. With Mrs. von Tempsky are her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R. von Tempsky, her daughter, Mrs. T. von Zebrinski and her two grandsons. Holders of large ranch properties in Hawaii,.the von Tempsky family is making a special 46-day tour of New Zealand visiting many of the spots made famous by its illustrious ancestor. Included in the visits will be one to Te Ngutu o Te Manu, near Okaiawa, where the gallant major met his death while leading his Forest Rangers against the Hau Hau forces. It is not known yet when the family will be visiting Taranaki but it is probable they will arrive shortly after the New Year. They intend to spend several days in the province.
