ROYAL HUMANE SOCIETY WOMAN SAVES MAN FROM BULL. AWARD OF BRONZE MEDAL MADE. COURAGEOUS WATER RESCUES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Several awards for bravery were made to-day by the court of directors of the Royal Humane Society of New Zealand. The awards were:— Bronze Medals. Gladys May Rowe, who rescued Donald Hopkins when he was attacked by a bull at Rakaia on February 10; 1935. Richard Robert Hull, who rescued Arthur Morrison from drownihg and attempted to rescue George McKay at Evans Bay, Wellington, on August 30, 1935. Framed Certificates. Ronald Francis Latimer, who rescued Horace William Wood from drowning at Timaru cn October 25, 1934. Lindsay Warmington, who attempted td rescue Robert Cameron Cuthbert from drowning at Mangawhare on April 28, 1935. Percy Morris McConchie, who attempted to rescue William Gordon Robertson from drowning at Nelson on October 28, 1935. James M. C. Kevin, who rescued James Herbert McFaul from drowning at Governor’s Bay on November 23, 1935. McFaul was unconscious and died.
