Miss Elsie Andrews returned to New Plymouth on Thursday after a visit to Hamilton. Miss’D. N. Allan Will leave during the week-end to spend the holidays at Hamilton. Mrs. E. Knight left yesterday on, a visit to Wanganui. Miss Margaret Balharry will return to New Plymouth to-day to spend a holiday w ith her mother, Mrs. N. Balharry. Mrs. W. I. Shrimpton left New Plymouth yesterday on a visit to Waimate S< Miss I. McLean (Wanganui) visited New Plymouth during the week. Mrs. F. Rowe entertained at bridge on Wednesday night in honour of Mrs. W. G. Dent. Miss N. Woodward, Waiuku, will arrive to-day On a visit to Miss Dorothy Barnitt. Mrs. Milroy and the Misses Jocelyn and Cushla Milroy, Hamilton, arrived at the White Hart'Hotel on Thursday to spend a fortnight’s holiday at New Plymouth. Mrs. A. E. Conway left during the week to spend a camping holiday at Tongaporutu. Mrs. R. S. Duthie was hostess at an afternoon at her home on Thursday in honour of Mrs. Cyril Hart.' Mrs. W. H. Skinner, who has been visiting Wellington, returned on Thursday. Mrs. W. Gentles and Miss A. Gentles will leave by car during the -weekend to spend several days at Wellington. Mrs. R. Chambers has arrived from Wellington to spend a holiday as the guest of Mrs. R. D. Colson. MrS. Duncan MeAllum left yesterday for Auckland, Where she will spend a holiday. Mrs. W. G. Dent left On Friday for a holiday at Gisborne before going to Wellington, where she will live in future. Mrs. N. Mrs. Loftus Russell entertained at an enjoyable gift evening on Thursday in honour of Miss Jessie Pullen. Miss Duff and Miss Crawford, of the teaching staff Of the New Plymouth Girls’ High School, are Spending the holidays at Wellington. Miss Lonia Joblin (Taihape) is the guest of Mrs. Gordon Elliott. Mrs. C. D. Cornford and Miss L. Cornford will arrive from Napier on Tuesday to spend a fortnight’s holiday at New Plymouth as the guest of Mrs. A. D. Powdreil. Miss Molly Campbell has arrived from Hamilton and is staying with her mother, Mrs. M. Campbell. MrS. Miss Nita Garcia, who has attended the Auckland training college, motored from Hamilton on Monday to spend the Vacation with her parents. Mrs. G. Adlam, Tuhikatamea, Waikato, who motored to New Plymouth to attend the Girls’ High School breaking up, returned home on Thursday. She was accompanied by Mrs. Flexman. Mrs. E. J. Reid entertained members of the cast of “London Wall” at a jolly supper party at her home on Thursday following the final production of the season of the Little Theatre Players.
