FAIR WEATHER LIKELY

I SOUTH TO EAST WINDS By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be cloudy on the east’ coast with further showers or misty rain in places and scattered showers in the far north, but otherwise conditions will be fair and cool to moderate. The recent depression is passing eastwards but a rather deep cyclone is developing in the south-west Tasman. Winds will be moderate to fresh westerlies from Auckland northwards and elsewhere south to east, strong at first about Cook Strait but moderating and moderate in other parts. Later winds will tend more to northerly and freshen in the south. Seas will be rough in the Cook Strait area but will shortly moderate. They will be rather rough north of Kawhia and in the far south but moderate elsewhere. .
